I discovered THINGS OF COLOUR when visiting SWISS MISS'S blog last week. It is a young Swedish company based in Hong Kong that make colorful and a bit odd products. It feels very fresh and fun!

Carin Wester

When I went to see the collection of CARIN WESTER I was pleasantly surprised by the graphic elements. Her identity looks very modern but nothing complicated. I love the "cut out" models and the line that crosses the text! The clothing in themselves have simple cuts with a touch of originality.

Ida Sjöstedt

I found out about IDA SJÖSTEDT in an issue of Swedish Elle a while ago and I decided to go and look at what she is doing. I am quite impressed by the cretivity she has. Even though it is not something I would really wear, I appreciate the style and her clothing makes me dream away somewhere imaginary.

80's Monki

MONKI is a fashion company that makes quite special clothing that at the moment is really really inspired by 1980's fashion. I like it because it brings back a lot of memories from my childhood but I would still not wear the most extreme designs. Here is what I found nice and could absolutely imagine hanging in my closet.

Private visit.

Today a friend of mine and I are going to a private sale at NINA RICCI. It is going to be fun because even if I will probably not get anything it will be fun to see the collection for real. I much prefer what the new creative director is doing, he is giving Nina Ricci a touch of freshness and modernity. On top of that the company where I have been freelancing on and of the last year (DIPTIC DESIGN AGENCY) are in charge of Nina Ricci's website.

Minimarket think big.

I love MINIMARKET and it's designs. They seem to live in a fairytale world and out comes really happy and cool clothing. I think the spring summer collection 2009 is my favorite so far but the other collections are not bad either. And there campaign's are one more innovative than the other!

Swedish fashion

Today I thought I would show you more affordable fashion. GINA TRICOT is a Swedish fashion brand with prices like H&M. They have a lot of basic fashion but also clothing that are more based on the current trends. This is my wishing list for this season.

A very nice Story.

STORY HOTEL is a hotel in Stockholm that combines design and innovation. They have quite a few prints from WONDERWALL on their walls for example. On top of that they have a very modern and user friendly website.

The perfect vase.

When I found LENNEKE WISPELWEY'S vases and other ceramics on another blog the other day I fell in love. The vases and mugs are absolutely on top of my wishing list for our future house!

Camilla Norrback

I went to CAMILLA NORRBACK'S website to see what she is proposing for this winter and I found quite a few things that I would like in my closet. Camilla is working in a eco friendly way by using environment certified natural materials. She calls it "ecoluxury".

Barbro Wesslander

BARBRO WESSLANDER is a Swedish product designer who, I would say, have two sides to her. On one hand she is very Scandinavian in her pure forms and the choice of materials. On the other hand, she has a very colorful side where inspiration from nature is very present.

Danish Numph

I have posted quite some things about Danish people and brands lately and why not because they have a very strong design culture.
A fashion company that I really like is NUMPH. They make very high quality cut clothing with very interesting patterns. Here is a peak from their fall 2009 collection.

Diamantini & Domeniconi

When I went to the design fair in Paris a few weeks ago I found a company who makes really nice clocks and accessories for your interior. DIAMANTINI & DOMENICONI is an Italian company where the invention of objects characterized by a contemporary, elegant and essential style, perpetuates the Italian innovative design tradition.

Yves Saint Laurent spring 2010

Like I mentined before it is the fashion week here in Paris now and yesterday it was YVES SAINT LAURENT'S turn to show their spring 2010 collection. Yves Saint Laurent himself died last year and the Creative director Stefano Pilati made a hommage to the fashion house's father by creating clothing influenced by Yves Saint Laurent's previous designs.

Dima Loginoff

As I was surfing the net yesterday I discovered a very talented Russian Product designer. DIMA LOGINOFF started as a hair stylist before he decided to design furniture and accessories for our homes.

Monica Förster / Umbrella

One of my favorite designers is MONICA FÖRSTER. Recently she has promoted new products and I absolutely fell in love with her new lamp ZERO - UMBRELLA. A lamp that I hope will have a place in my future house!

Hila Rawet

Who would thought that jewellery made out of paper could be this beautiful... HILA RAWET makes jewellery from different unexpected materials and one of them is paper. I could easily imagine wearing one of these necklaces at an festive event.

Lamps by architects

Architects do not only work with creating modern houses. Some of them also make beautiful interior design products. These lamps are an example made by KJELLGREN KAMINSKY. So far they are not in production but I am sure that they will be very soon. The yellow lamp is definitely going on my wish list!

Marimekko fashion

Finnish MARIMEKKO is not only a fabric and interior design company but they also do fashion design. I thought it was worth sending a post about this since the clothing they create are very nice and modern. I wouldn't mind having the blue coat in my winter closet for example.

Catarina Giarimi

Yesterday I was watching a show about female designers on Swedish TV on the internet. One of the episodes were about CATARINA GIARIMI, a designer who makes beautiful glasses. What I didn't know is that she started as a fashion designer and discovered glass design by enrolling in a design competition. It was a really interesting show and if you understand Swedish I recommend to see it. Click HERE to get to SVT's website.
